Scan done 11/15 all ok ,watching some.nodes. was having back pain do an early scan done. This showed enlarged lymph nodes in chest area, around area of last tumor in left lung one lymph node removed with part of.lung was the only.positive one, out of 7 removed .pulmonary Dr wants bronchial scope ? Done says he doesn't think it is infection,much larger then one two months ago. I am extremely.terrified and not understanding how after just completing
Chemo and having original tumor removed ...don't know what To do or think what can they do for this now ...worried anyone with similar position..please respond. Thank you.Merilee

I'm so sorry you're having these problems. Unfortunately it is possible these nodules represent cancer that wasn't able to be seen initially. But that isn't known yet and your oncologist wants to keep a close eye on the situation. If it is cancer then it can be treated and in most cases can be held in tact for a long time. The goal for nsclc that is recurred is to treat it as a long term illness. But I hope it isn't and just a scare in an otherwise happy journey.
