Is it at all feasible to boost one's own immune system in general by getting whatever vaccine that would make your own immune system simply work or maybe work harder. For instance as a child we get vaccinated for many different diseases and while it has been many (50 plus years for some of us) for most of the vaccines we received. To again get some of these vaccinations might it re-start or boost our immune system that could also fight cancerous cells that might be in our system?
I recently received a pneumonia vaccine which is what made think of this. Did this vaccine kind of wake up my immune system in some way?

There has been a lot of research in the oncology world on this however the latest vaccines to combat cancer didn't pan out as was hoped. The new immunotherapies trick the immune system to fight cancer. It's not that someone's immune system isn't working properly but that the cancer tricks the body into thinking the cancer is supposed to be there.
