As tittle, If I use 600 mg every four day tarceva to treat my mum 's leptomeningeal carcinomatosis. Will this cause the required resistance coming earlier? As the cells of tumor will be under huge pressure of tarceva. I assume that will force 'the tumor' to pick up new cells which has required assistance.

That Tarceva dosing schedule has not been studied sufficiently to know whether it speeds acquired resistance. In the setting of leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, unfortunately there are not many available and effective treatments so the rate of acquired resistance is probably of less importance than the efficacy of the pulsed Tarceva regimen.

Jim's right that there's no study of this question, so it's just an unknown.
