BVSEV - Ned's Chart of Treatment vs QOL

Article
In recent discussions, and in honor of our 15 year anniversary, some of our board members and staff came up with a list of their favorite patient education pieces.

Our dear Ned was a stalwart supporter of GRACE, and had a huge part of us becoming the amazing community that we have been.

We sadly lost Ned in 2011, but his humor, goodwill, and kindness lives on.  We at GRACE will always remember him as a founding member of our community.

6 mm ground glass nodule

Hello all! I am new to this forum, and although I have not been diagnosed with cancer, I did discover on a relatively recent CT scan that I have a 6mm lingular ground glass nodule. The CT scan (which I had done in December of 2021) was of my abdomen and pelvis to check for diverticulitis (which was negative), however, the ground glass nodule was incidentally found. I had had a prior CT scan of my abdomen and pelvis for suspected kidney stones almost two years prior, and no mention whatsoever was made of the ground glass nodule.

Live, Virtual and Free Targeted Therapies Forum July 2022

Forums

In order to help prepare as many people as possible to be educated members of their own cancer care team, Grace is having its annual Targeted Therapies Forum live...online. In English on July 16, 2022, and in Spanish on July 30, 2022. Top oncologists in their field will meet online to discuss present standards of care and clinical trials. There will be large and small group discussions and Q and A.  Check in regularly as we get the schedule set.

I joined GRACE as a caregiver for my husband who had a Pancoast tumor, NSCLC stage III in 2009. He had curative chemo/rads then it was believed he had a recurrence in the spine/oligometastasis that was radiated. He's 10 years out from treatment.

Worried I have pancoast tumor.

Hello. I am here to see if anyone can share symptoms of pancoast. And if you can, please, answer some questions. My story: About a month-ish ago, I all of a sudden got this aching pain in my right shoulder blade. It was annoying, and bothersome. It would come and go, and a variety of pain levels, and woke me up at night. In the meantime before this, I felt something "Off" with my throat when I swallowed, like it felt as if "Something" was there. Then I would burp. Very unusual for me. So I have this "Off" feeling in my throat, and now this pain in my right shoulder blade.
