I haven't posted anything in a while, but I've been busy: I went back to school, got a new job, became caregiver to my mother and am now looking out for my girlfriend who recently had a transient ischemic attack brought on by carbon monoxide poisoning. I really feel that it's necessary and beneficial for me to check in from time to time to let everyone know that it is possible to survive locally advanced NSCLC - see my sig for the details.

ElroyJ! It's so good to hear
ElroyJ! It's so good to hear this excellent news. You're so right that it's important to check in and let everyone know there can be life after cancer. For one it's good to know that you've had new nodules that aren't cancer either. As you can tell from my sig my husband's presumed restaged IV nsclc may have been a mistake...twice. It gives credence to the saying, hope for the best prepare for the worst because sometimes the best does happen even when it's soo not probable.
I hope your girlfriend is better soon and I know your mom is thankful in so many ways including that you are here for her.
All the best hopes and joy!
