Hi,
I have been very sick for a year. I was in hospital every week over 20 times in 2 months. I couldnt stop vomitting blood, bloody diarrhea, lost 70lbs in 3 months, lots of stomach pain.
Doctors ran so many tests. First they said my blood indicated some kind of infection but they dont know what. I got worse. Then felt better, I could eat again after 3 months. I still have lots of pain. Doctors gave up. Told me it was IBS.
Then a couple moths ago a scan for a hernia, shows a growth in my stomach. They dont know what it is. Doctor referred me to surgeon. I finally get to see him in 2 days.
I looked up symptoms, it seems like I have all the symptoms of cancer but it could be anything.
Lately, besides the pain in my stomach, I have been vomitting in my sleep, choking on acid reflux in my sleep. Diarrhea turned into constipation 8 months ago.
I am on suboxone because doctor stopped prescribing percocet for pain. He said he cant prescribe me pain killers without a diagnosis. He had me on pain killers for 4 months.
I honestly have no faith in these doctors anymore. Its been more than a year and they could not diagnose me and now tell me months ago I might have a tumor or something in my stomach wall.
I am looking for someone who knows the symptoms of stomach cancer. So I can get better informed.

Hi torontopaul,
Hi torontopaul,
Welcome to GRACE. I'm sorry that you are suffering from all these symptoms. Although these symptoms could be consistent with a diagnosis of stomach cancer, they could have another cause, as is often the case with symptoms that might indicate cancer. It's not possible to make a diagnosis solely on the basis of symptoms; they can only suggest the steps to take to gather information that can lead to the correct diagnosis.
In general, when you have lost faith in your doctors it's a good idea to get a second opinion, but since your appointment with the surgeon is just a couple days away, you may want to see what he or she says before proceeding. Still, a second opinion can often provide reassurance that you're on the right path.
I hope your meeting is productive.
