My Mom was Dx w/ aden and her and I are wondering if the biospy/genetic testing can reveal the cause/possible source of her lung cancer.... I'm sure this might be a stupid question for some obvious reasons but I was just wondering as the T.S. definitely had mentioned in his experience in our area that radon is fairly prevalent. I was just wondering if this might be the case I would definitely let the owners of the home that my mother and I lived for a large portion of our lives know about this. Please let me know and thank you.

Radon is definitely a cause for lung cancer however there are no tests to prove from what source someone got cancer. It wouldn't hurt to inform the new owners of what the doctor said and your mom's diagnosis. They might want to get the house tested. Below is a blog Dr. West wrote on radon.

You can find out if a home has high levels of radon, but no, at this point, it's not possible to know whether an individual cancer was definitely caused by radon or just about any specific cause.
