Meredith McKean MD, MPH with Tennessee Oncology, Michael Postow, MD Chief of Melanoma service at Memorial Sloan Kettering and Sanjiv Agarwala, MD, Professor of Medical Oncology and Hematology at Temple University School of Medicine in Easton, PA joined GRACE to discuss current updates in treatment for Melanoma.

Tulane University online survey - looking for individuals with a cancer diagnosis

The research team at Tulane University is conducting an online survey of individuals with cancer. 

GRACE has been asked to share information about an anonymous one-time online research study about personality and cancer care. They are looking for adults with a history of cancer. A total number of 2,500 individuals will participate in the study, recruited from various social media platforms and websites dedicated to cancer research and patient support.

 

Operations Director for GRACE. Have worked with cancerGRACE.org since July 2009.  Became involved as a caregiver to my best friend, and quickly came to see that GRACE is filling a need in the area of cancer education. 

Possible aggressive skin cancer being misdiagnosed?

My husband had a scar like white patches start on the back of one hand about 6-7 weeks ago. At first he was told it was a chemical burn and treated. However it began to spread and did not respond to treatment. He was told after that, in order, that it was ringworm, bacterial infection, fungal infection, and treated for all with no response to treatment. The once 8-10 small patches on one hand have become 1 large patch covering the back of both hands, both elbows, and now his ears.
