Welcome to the new GRACE site!

Here we hope to provide a new and friendly place for our community members, that goes beyond what our old forum did.  Our amazing faculty is building and we would like to continue to share their knowledge with others, to provide a place for those dealing with more types of cancers, including Lung.

Share our forum with others, and please consider this a safe place to discuss and ask questions about living with cancer.

Three Year Post Update

Hello everyone!
It's been a while!! Having just had Thanksgiving, I wanted to again thank you for all have done for me, and how much I am thankful that all of you are there to provide so much help to others.
I just got back from going to my son and his family for Thanksgiving in Missouri, followed by a few days with my daughter and her family in Rhode Island.
It was so wonderful to be with them and with some of my son's friends.

Two Years After....

Well, here it is two years later, and once more Giving Tuesday. As I made my donation this year, I once more thought back to my early days after Sara's diagnosis, and how you all seemed to give the perfect balance of advice, information, and concern. There were so many days where I felt I could take some deep breaths and move on because of all of your help. Thank you for continuing to inform and support!

One Year Post

It's been just over a year since my wife Sara passed away, and as we go through Giving Tuesday I just wanted to let you all know how much I remember all of the kindness and help you gave to me and my wife. May you continue to be blessed with the strength and peace to continue to help so many people. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, and have a wonderful Holidays and New Year.

The 6.5 year road

I just wanted to let you all know that my wife has just gone into in-hoime hospice.

After 6.5 years and 12 different lines of treatment, it is beginning to look like the journey is near the end.

A big, huge, humongous thanks to everyone on this site for everything they have meant to me, and all the information and support you provided during this journey.

Thank you, Thank you.

I will keep you all updated.

6 Year Update

Well, here we are.  6 years from the date of the diagnosis.  What a year!

Last year at this time things we had just come out of the bleakest of times with a drug that literally was a life saver - giving my wife about 6 weeks of time backing away from the abyss.  Then, as the abyss began to creep forward once more, another drug - this one even better and restoring so much and lasting 8 months.  But now this one has stopped working and we go to another treatment, with one or two we may still have on hold.

Update

Hi everyone.

I haven't been on in a while and just wanted to keep you all updated.

My wife is still on Enhertu and it has been great, continual decrease in size, until about 2 months ago when the results seemed to be mixed.  Everything was good (decreasing or stable) except for two lesions that seemed to be growing in her liver, but they were in a peripheral, accessable place, and so they did some microwave ablation on them.

Thanks!!

As I enter the Jewish New Year once more, I just wanted to give a big thanks and share my gratitude to all of you.  Back in March we didn't think my wife was going to be here at this time, and now here she is, feeling better than she has in a long time. This journey has been an incredible emotional roller coaster ride, but you have been through it with me from the beginning.  Thank you for your support, your information, and for all you do to make this journey a little bit more tolerable.  I am so very, very, grateful.

Enhertu Not Working? (Edit: Yes it works! But it works a bit more slowly than some of the others)

Looks like enhertu is not working?  Had blood tests today - Bilirubin is way up.  Hemoglobin down so my wife is getting another transfusion.

Her fatigue has been extreme these last few days.

Noun loss is getting worse, but we don't know if it is stress, brain function, or liver function.

She is getting new blood tests on Friday - we will let you know more then.
